Mission Statement

The North Carolina Crime Stoppers Association, Inc. was formed in 1991 as an umbrella organization for Crime Stoppers programs in our State.

The association’s mission is to further the goals of Crime Stoppers programs. This is accomplished through annual training seminars which focus on fund-raising, promotion and operation of our individual programs.

Membership is Open

The association is guided by a board of directors comprised of members from the eastern, piedmont and western sections of our state. The board meets bi-annually and all members are welcome to attend. Annual dues are $50.00 which are used to offset conference costs.

The purpose of this Association shall be to provide a clearinghouse for information, to assist existing Crime Stoppers programs, top encourage and assist in establishing new Crime Stoppers programs, and to coordinate the establishment of standards, while at all times protecting the autonomy of individual member programs. This association will in no way ever seek to dictate policies to law enforcement agencies or to Crime Stoppers programs
